| Surf Information The island of Kauai has some of the best surf in the world. Kauai has largeswells on the north shore during winter time. However during the summer the south shore has fun sized surf that is more forgiving for the beginner. During either time of the year you can almost always find somewhere to surf on Kauai. Surf lessons can be arranged by Paradise Travel & Activities with Titus Kinimaka's Hawaiian School of Surfing. Titus is a born and bred Kauai boy ranked number 8 in the world as a big wave surfer. He recently competed in the Eddie Aikau contest in January 2005 and at 50 years old came in 8th place. Winning contestants were 30 years his juinor. He started his own surf school to share his love of the sport. You are never in water over your head with Titus. Lessons include the use of a soft surfboard with rash guard provided.
